January 15, 2022: Woodland Park, CO 80863 Doherty Spartans (Colorado Springs, CO) fans left the game happy Saturday as they witnessed their ice hockey team achieve victory over the host Woodland Park Panthers (Woodland Park, CO), 5-1 in a non-league match.
The Spartans (4-3) will now prepare for their match against Mountain Vista (Highlands Ranch, CO). The Golden Eagles enter the 5A South match with a 4-5 record. In their last match, Mountain Vista by Valor Christian (Highlands Ranch, CO), 6-2, in a league match.
Next up, the Panthers clash with the Pueblo County Hornets (Pueblo, CO) in a 4A South match, on Tuesday, January 18. Woodland Park will attempt to advance on its 3-3 season record. The Hornets enter the match with a 0-5 record after their 11-1 league loss to Cheyenne Mountain (Colorado Springs, CO).
