New York High School Basketball - Catholic Central thwarts Notre Dame
January 15, 2023: Utica, NY 13502 The Catholic Central Crusaders (Troy, NY) basketball knocked off the host Notre Dame Jugglers (Utica, NY), 69-49 in Sunday's non-league test.
The Crusaders (10-2) will now prepare for their test against Cobleskill-Richmondville (Cobleskill, NY). The Bulldogs go into the Section 2 Colonial test with a 4-7 record. In their last test, Cobleskill-Richmondville notched a victory over Lansingburgh (Troy, NY), 59-18, in a league test.
The Jugglers now own a 4-4 record. They play next when they travel to Rome Free Academy for a Section 3 Tri-Valley test on Tuesday, January 17. Notre Dame will encounter a Black Knights squad coming off a 43-34 league win over Oneida (Oneida, NY). The Black Knights record now stands at 9-3.
