January 15, 2023: West Chester, OH 45069 In Sunday's non-league outing, the Solon Comets (Solon, OH) basketball squad edged the host Lakota West Firebirds (West Chester, OH), by a count of 61-60.
The Comets (12-3) will now prepare for their outing against Strongsville (Strongsville, OH). The Mustangs go into the Greater Cleveland outing with a 7-5 record. In their last outing, Strongsville held off Mentor (Mentor, OH), 68-34, in a league outing.
The Firebirds now hold a 6-5 record. They play next when they host Oak Hills for a Greater Miami outing on Wednesday, January 18. Lakota West will clash with a Highlanders squad coming off a 55-33 non-league win over Mercy McAuley (Cincinnati, OH). The Highlanders record now stands at 6-5.
