In Sunday's non-league outing, the Wossman Wildcats (Monroe, LA) basketball squad edged the host Ponchatoula Green Wave (Ponchatoula, LA), by a margin of 49-48.

The Wildcats (16-2) will now prepare for their outing against Sterlington (Sterlington, LA). The Panthers go into the 3A District 1 outing with a 10-2 record. In their last outing, Sterlington was tipped by Carroll (Monroe, LA), 47-39, in a league outing.

The Green Wave now own a 10-6 record. They play next when they travel to Covington for a 5A District 6 outing on Friday, January 20. Ponchatoula will clash with a Lions squad coming off a 60-28 league loss to Hammond (Hammond, LA). The Lions record now stands at 4-8.
