Illinois High School Basketball - Moline nips Batavia
January 15, 2024: Moline, IL 61265 Moline Maroons (Moline, IL) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Batavia Bulldogs (Batavia, IL), 51-46 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Moline upgrades its record to 15-2 on the campaign. The Maroons host East Moline United (East Moline, IL) to play the Panthers in a Western Big 6 bout on Tuesday, January 16. The Panthers come into the bout with a record of 11-5. East Moline United won 73-33 in their recent non-league bout against Quad Cities Christian (Moline, IL)
Next up, the Bulldogs play the Lake Park Lancers (Roselle, IL) in a DuKane bout, on Friday, January 19. Batavia will attempt to upgrade on its 13-5 season record. The Lancers come into the bout with a 17-3 record after their 55-29 non-league win over Glenbard West (Glen Ellyn, IL).
