Louisiana High School Basketball - Grand Isle ripped by Covenant Christian Academy
January 15, 2024: Grand Isle, LA 70358 The Covenant Christian Academy Lions basketball team scored 65 points and held the host Grand Isle Trojans to 44 in the Lions non-league triumph on Monday.
The Lions now sport a 10-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Houma Christian for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 16. Covenant Christian Academy will battle a Warriors team coming off a 51-48 non-league win over South Lafourche (Galliano, LA). The Warriors record now stands at 8-7.
The Trojans (3-3) will now prepare for their contest against Lutheran (Metairie, LA). The Gryphons enter the C District 7 contest with a 1-7 record. In their last contest, Lutheran triumphed over Ecole Classique (Metairie, LA), 41-16, in a non-league contest.
