California High School Basketball - Livermore tops Newark Memorial
January 15, 2024: Newark, CA 94560 Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the Livermore Cowboys (Livermore, CA) and the host Newark Memorial Cougars (Newark, CA), saw Livermore's basketball squad knock off Newark Memorial by a count of 48-40.
With the victory, Livermore upgrades its record to 16-3 on the campaign. The Cowboys travel to San Ramon Valley (Danville, CA) to play the Wolves in a challenge on Tuesday, January 16. The Wolves come into the challenge with a record of 1-5. San Ramon Valley lost 61-54 in their recent league challenge against California (San Ramon, CA)
Next up, the Cougars play the Moreau Catholic Mariners (Hayward, CA) in a challenge, on Thursday, January 18. Newark Memorial will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record. The Mariners come into the challenge with a 12-0 record after their 77-39 league win over Irvington (Fremont, CA).
