In Monday's non-league outing, the Brusly Panthers (Brusly, LA) basketball squad beat the visiting Salmen Spartans (Slidell, LA), by a margin of 52-34.

The Panthers (17-7) will now prepare for their outing against Istrouma (Baton Rouge, LA). The Indians go into the 4A District 6 outing with a 12-9 record. In their last outing, Istrouma was topped by St. Michael (Baton Rouge, LA), 59-53, in a league outing.

The Spartans now own a 10-12 record. They play next when they host Lakeshore for a 4A District 8 bout on Friday, January 19. Salmen will play a squad coming off a 56-53 league win over Loranger (Loranger, LA). The record now stands at 7-12.
