Virginia Academy Patriots (Ashburn, VA) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting High Point Christian Academy Cougars (High Point, NC), 51-26 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Virginia Academy upgrades its record to 9-6 on the campaign. The Patriots host Riverdale Baptist (Upper Marlboro, MD) to play the Crusaders in a National Independent - North bout on Monday, January 22. The Crusaders come into the bout with a record of 12-15.

Next up, the Cougars play the Greensboro Day School Bengals (Greensboro, NC) in a NCISAA Piedmont bout, on Tuesday, January 16.
