California High School Basketball - Hillsdale can't hold off San Mateo
January 15, 2024: San Mateo, CA 94401 The San Mateo Bearcats basketball team scored 43 points and held the visiting Hillsdale FIGHTING KNIGHTS to 36 in the Bearcats non-league triumph on Monday.
The Bearcats now sport a 13-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Oceana for a Peninsula - Lake contest on Friday, January 19. San Mateo will battle a Sharks team coming off a 59-32 league loss to Woodside (Woodside, CA). The Sharks record now stands at 9-8.
Next up, the FIGHTING KNIGHTS play the Menlo-Atherton Bears (Atherton, CA) in a Peninsula - Bay bout, on Tuesday, January 16. Hillsdale will attempt to upgrade on its 8-7 season record. The Bears come into the bout with a 9-6 record after their 42-22 league win over Aragon (San Mateo, CA).
