North Carolina High School Basketball - Southeast Raleigh holds off Rocky Mount
January 15, 2024: Rocky Mount, NC 27803 Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the Southeast Raleigh Bulldogs (Raleigh, NC) and the host Rocky Mount Gryphons (Rocky Mount, NC), saw Southeast Raleigh's basketball squad hold off Rocky Mount by a tally of 38-32.
With the victory, Southeast Raleigh improves its record to 11-4 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Garner (Garner, NC) to confront the Trojans in a 4A Greater Neuse River challenge on Friday, January 19. The Trojans come into the challenge with a record of 3-10. Garner lost 63-41 in their recent league challenge against Cleveland (Clayton, NC)
Next up, the Gryphons confront the Southern Nash Firebirds (Bailey, NC) in a 2A/3A Big East challenge, on Tuesday, January 16. Rocky Mount will attempt to improve on its 9-3 season record. The Firebirds come into the challenge with a 4-7 record after their 75-38 non-league loss to Triton (Erwin, NC).
