Colorado High School Basketball - Cherry Creek holds off Rock Canyon

January 15, 2025: Highlands Ranch, CO 80124

The Cherry Creek Bruins basketball team scored 82 points and limited the host Rock Canyon Jaguars to 78 in the Bruins non-league triumph on Wednesday.

The Bruins now possess a 5-7 record. They play next when they host Smoky Hill for a 6A Centennial game on Wednesday, January 22. Cherry Creek will confront a Buffaloes team coming off a 63-53 non-league loss to Ralston Valley (Arvada, CO). The Buffaloes record now stands at 6-7.

With the loss, Rock Canyon falls to 5-7 on the campaign. The Jaguars travel to Ponderosa (Parker, CO) to confront the Mustangs in a 6A/5A Continental game on Friday, January 17. The Mustangs go into the game with a record of 5-6. Ponderosa won 59-50 in their recent non-league game against Evergreen (Evergreen, CO)
