New Mexico High School Basketball - Sandia holds off Albuquerque
January 15, 2025: Albuquerque, NM 87102 The Sandia Matadors basketball team scored 57 points and limited the host Albuquerque Bulldogs to 55 in the Matadors non-league triumph on Wednesday.
The Matadors now possess a 4-1 record. They play next when they host Albuquerque Academy for a non-league game on Friday, January 17. Sandia will confront a Chargers team coming off a 50-29 non-league win over Sandia Prep (Albuquerque, NM). The Chargers record now stands at 5-5.
With the loss, Albuquerque falls to 3-5 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Valley (Albuquerque, NM) to confront the Vikings in a non-league game on Saturday, January 18. The Vikings go into the game with a record of 4-4. Valley lost 71-64 in their recent non-league game against Eldorado (Albuquerque, NM)
