New Mexico High School Basketball - Grants overwhelms Zuni
January 15, 2025: Zuni, NM 87327 The Grants Pirates basketball team scored 66 points and limited the host Zuni Thunderbirds to 33 in the Pirates non-league triumph on Wednesday.
The Pirates now possess a 4-2 record. They play next when they host Bernalillo for a non-league game on Friday, January 17. Grants will confront a Spartans team coming off a 48-44 non-league win over Highland (Albuquerque, NM). The Spartans record now stands at 2-7.
With the loss, Zuni falls to 2-2 on the campaign. The Thunderbirds host Wingate (Fort Wingate, NM) to confront the Bears in a non-league game on Friday, January 17. The Bears go into the game with a record of 0-3.
