January 15, 2025: Elk River, MN 55330 The crowd at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Maple Grove Crimson (Maple Grove, MN) and the host Elk River Elks (Elk River, MN), observed Maple Grove's basketball team knock off Elk River by a score of 63-49.
The Crimson (13-2) will now prepare for their bout against St. Michael-Albertville (Albertville, MN). The Knights go into the non-league bout with a 11-2 record.
With the loss, Elk River falls to 8-6 on the campaign. The Elks host Moorhead (Moorhead, MN) to play the Spuds in a AAAA Section 8 bout on Saturday, January 18. The Spuds go into the bout with a record of 8-8. Moorhead won 72-53 in their recent non-league bout against Detroit Lakes (Detroit Lakes, MN)
