In Wednesday's non-league contest, the visiting Ursuline Koalas basketball team scored a close 48-44 triumph over the Holy Cross Knights.

The Koalas (2-2) will now prepare for their contest against Mamaroneck (Mamaroneck, NY). The Tigers go into the Section 1 Conference 1B contest with a 7-2 record.

In their next game, the Knights battle the Syosset (Syosset, NY) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 18. Holy Cross will attempt to improve on its 3-13 season record.
