The Union County Patriots basketball squad (Liberty, IN), was crushed 49-20 in Wednesday's non-league battle with the host Franklin County Wildcats (Brookville, IN)

With the victory, Franklin County advances its record to 6-3 on the year. The Wildcats host East Central (St. Leon, IN) to meet the Trojans in a battle on Saturday, January 18. The Trojans enter the battle with a record of 0-1. East Central lost 42-33 in their recent non-league battle against Dixie Heights (Edgewood, KY)

The Patriots now own a 0-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Eastern Hancock for a non-league battle on Friday, January 17. Union County will meet a Royals squad coming off a 60-42 league win over Randolph Southern (Lynn, IN). The Royals record now stands at 6-2.
