New Mexico High School Basketball - Volcano Vista overwhelms Los Lunas
January 15, 2025: Albuquerque, NM 87114 The Volcano Vista Hawks basketball team scored 68 points and limited the visiting Los Lunas Tigers to 41 in the Hawks non-league triumph on Wednesday.
The Hawks now possess a 10-0 record. They play next when they travel to Atrisco Heritage Academy for a non-league game on Friday, January 17. Volcano Vista will play a Jaguars team coming off a 72-58 non-league loss to Highland (Albuquerque, NM). The Jaguars record now stands at 1-4.
With the loss, Los Lunas falls to 3-9 on the campaign. The Tigers host Hobbs (Hobbs, NM) to play the Eagles in a non-league game on Friday, January 17. The Eagles go into the game with a record of 0-4. Hobbs lost 59-46 in their recent non-league game against Las Cruces (Las Cruces, NM)
