Illinois High School Basketball - Batavia tops Jefferson
January 16, 2023: Rockford, IL 61109 Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the Batavia Bulldogs (Batavia, IL) and the host Jefferson J-Hawks (Rockford, IL), saw Batavia's basketball squad knock off Jefferson by a count of 65-48.
With the victory, Batavia upgrades its record to 10-11 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Thornton Fractional South (Lansing, IL) to play the Red Wolves in a non-league challenge on Monday, January 16. The Red Wolves come into the challenge with a record of 9-8. Thornton Fractional South lost 75-73 in their recent non-league challenge against Guilford (Rockford, IL)
Next up, the J-Hawks play the Belvidere North Blue Thunder (Belvidere, IL) in a Northern Illinois 10 challenge, on Wednesday, January 18. Jefferson will attempt to upgrade on its 4-14 season record. The Blue Thunder come into the challenge with a 8-14 record after their 64-62 non-league win over Elk Grove (Elk Grove Village, IL).
