North Carolina High School Basketball - Wake Forest crushes East Carteret

Wake Forest Cougars (Wake Forest, NC) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host East Carteret Mariners (Beaufort, NC), 91-46 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Wake Forest upgrades its record to 11-6 on the season. The Cougars travel to Rolesville (Rolesville, NC) to play the Rams in a 4A Conference 27 bout on Wednesday, January 18. The Rams go into the bout with a record of 3-14. Rolesville lost 60-40 in their recent non-league bout against Chapel Hill (Chapel Hill, NC)

Next up, the Mariners play the Southside Seahawks (Chocowinity, NC) in a 1A/2A Conference 3 bout, on Friday, January 20. East Carteret will attempt to upgrade on its 9-6 season record. The Seahawks go into the bout with a 5-9 record after their 57-52 league win over Northside - Pinetown (Pinetown, NC).
