Washington, DC High School Basketball - Woodside fells Gonzaga
January 16, 2023: Washington, DC 20001 Woodside Wolverines (Newport News, VA) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Gonzaga Eagles (Washington, DC), 82-73 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Woodside upgrades its record to 10-4 on the season. The Wolverines host Hampton (Hampton, VA) to clash with the Crabbers in a Peninsula bout on Tuesday, January 17. The Crabbers go into the bout with a record of 7-5. Hampton won 70-32 in their recent league bout against Gloucester (Gloucester, VA)
Next up, the Eagles clash with the The Heights (Potomac, MD) in a Washington Catholic bout, on Friday, January 20. Gonzaga will attempt to upgrade on its 16-1 season record. The go into the bout with a 2-12 record after their 79-68 league loss to Archbishop Carroll (Washington, DC).
