Halifax Wildcats (Halifax, PA) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Newport Buffaloes (Newport, PA), 64-34 in a league bout.

With the victory, Halifax upgrades its record to 9-2 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Susquenita (Duncannon, PA) to play the Blackhawks in a Tri-Valley bout on Thursday, January 19. The Blackhawks come into the bout with a record of 1-12.

Next up, the Buffaloes play the Juniata Indians (Mifflintown, PA) in a Tri-Valley bout, on Thursday, January 19. Newport will attempt to upgrade on its 2-7 season record. The Indians come into the bout with a 7-8 record after their 48-33 non-league loss to Midd-West (Middleburg, PA).
