In Monday's non-league match, the visiting Langston Hughes Panthers basketball team scored a tight 74-73 triumph over the Tri-Cities Bulldogs.

In their next game, the Panthers meet the New Manchester Jaguar (Douglasville, GA) in a AAAAAA Region 5 match, on Tuesday, January 17. Langston Hughes will attempt to move on its 9-7 season record. The Jaguar enter the match with a 7-8 record after their 67-64 league loss to South Paulding (Douglasville, GA).
