South Dakota High School Basketball - Red Cloud nudges Little Wound

January 16, 2023: Pine Ridge, SD 57770

Red Cloud Crusaders (Pine Ridge, SD) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Little Wound Mustangs (Kyle, SD), 61-60 in a league bout.

With the win, Red Cloud upgrades its record to 8-2 on the season. The Crusaders travel to Spearfish (Spearfish, SD) to clash with the Spartans in a non-league bout on Friday, January 20. The Spartans go into the bout with a record of 2-4. Spearfish lost 45-44 in their recent league bout against Harrisburg (Harrisburg, SD)

Next up, the Mustangs clash with the Cheyenne-Eagle Butte Braves (Eagle Butte, SD) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, January 19. Little Wound will attempt to upgrade on its 6-5 season record. The Braves go into the bout with a 0-11 record after their 114-46 non-league loss to Lower Brule (Lower Brule, SD).
