Illinois High School Basketball - Metea Valley nips Warren Township

January 16, 2023: Aurora, IL 60502

Metea Valley Mustangs (Aurora, IL) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Warren Township Blue Devils (Gurnee, IL), 45-44 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Metea Valley upgrades its record to 15-6 on the season. The Mustangs host DeKalb (DeKalb, IL) to play the Barbs in a DuPage Valley bout on Friday, January 20. The Barbs go into the bout with a record of 13-6. DeKalb lost 62-55 in their recent non-league bout against Lyons (LaGrange, IL)

Next up, the Blue Devils play the Zion-Benton Zee-Bees (Zion, IL) in a North Suburban bout, on Wednesday, January 18. Warren Township will attempt to upgrade on its 10-10 season record. The Zee-Bees go into the bout with a 0-13 record after their 54-44 non-league loss to St. Francis de Sales (Chicago, IL).
