Georgia High School Basketball - Mt. Bethel Christian Academy holds off South Gwinnett
January 16, 2023: Snellville, GA 30078 Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the Mt. Bethel Christian Academy Eagles (Marietta, GA) and the host South Gwinnett Comets (Snellville, GA), saw Mt. Bethel Christian Academy's basketball squad hold off South Gwinnett by a tally of 63-56.
With the victory, Mt. Bethel Christian Academy improves its record to 14-5 on the campaign. The Eagles host St. Francis (Alpharetta, GA) to confront the Knights in a A D1 Region 6A challenge on Friday, January 20. The Knights come into the challenge with a record of 8-11. St. Francis lost 55-54 in their recent non-league challenge against Arlington Christian (Fairburn, GA)
Next up, the Comets confront the Grayson Rams (Loganville, GA) in a AAAAAAA Region 4 challenge, on Friday, January 20. South Gwinnett will attempt to improve on its 13-5 season record. The Rams come into the challenge with a 12-4 record after their 70-60 league win over Parkview (Lilburn, GA).
