Connecticut High School Basketball - Torrington tops Ansonia
January 16, 2023: Torrington, CT 06790 Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the Torrington Raiders (Torrington, CT) and the visiting Ansonia Chargers (Ansonia, CT), saw Torrington's basketball squad knock off Ansonia by a tally of 46-33.
With the victory, Torrington improves its record to 7-3 on the campaign. The Raiders travel to Gilbert (Winsted, CT) to play the Yellowjackets in a non-league challenge on Thursday, January 19. The Yellowjackets come into the challenge with a record of 6-3. Gilbert won 40-15 in their recent league challenge against Shepaug Valley (Washington, CT)
Next up, the Chargers play the Wilby Wildcats (Waterbury, CT) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 17. Ansonia will attempt to improve on its 3-7 season record. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a 2-5 record after their 45-27 league loss to Kennedy (Waterbury, CT).
