Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Armstrong crushes Franklin Regional
January 16, 2023: Kittanning, PA 16201 Armstrong River Hawks (Kittanning, PA) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Franklin Regional Panthers (Murrysville, PA), 56-28 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Armstrong upgrades its record to 11-2 on the season. The River Hawks host Shaler Area (Pittsburgh, PA) to clash with the Titans in a WPIAL 5A 2 bout on Thursday, January 19. The Titans go into the bout with a record of 10-5. Shaler Area lost 44-38 in their recent league bout against Fox Chapel (Pittsburgh, PA)
Next up, the Panthers clash with the Woodland Hills Wolverines (Pittsburgh, PA) in a WPIAL 5A 1 bout, on Thursday, January 19. Franklin Regional will attempt to upgrade on its 5-8 season record. The Wolverines go into the bout with a 5-8 record after their 55-42 league win over Gateway (Monroeville, PA).
