California High School Basketball - Venice can't hold off Franklin
January 16, 2023: Los Angeles, CA 90066 The Franklin Panthers basketball team scored 30 points and held the host Venice Gondoliers to 29 in the Panthers non-league triumph on Monday.
The Panthers now sport a 10-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Eagle Rock for a Northern contest on Thursday, January 19. Franklin will battle a Eagles team coming off a 56-35 league win over Marshall (Los Angeles, CA). The Eagles record now stands at 14-7.
The Gondoliers (1-13) will now prepare for their contest against Hamilton (Los Angeles, CA). The Yankees enter the Western contest with a 13-5 record. In their last contest, Hamilton was nudged by Westchester (Los Angeles, CA), 75-58, in a league contest.
