Illinois High School Basketball - Homewood-Flossmoor holds off La Lumiere
January 16, 2023: Flossmoor, IL 60422 Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the Homewood-Flossmoor Vikings (Flossmoor, IL) and the visiting La Lumiere Lakers (La Porte, IN), saw Homewood-Flossmoor's basketball squad hold off La Lumiere by a tally of 63-61.
With the victory, Homewood-Flossmoor improves its record to 10-6 on the campaign. The Vikings host Lincoln-Way East (Frankfort, IL) to confront the Griffins in a SouthWest Suburban - Blue challenge on Tuesday, January 17. The Griffins come into the challenge with a record of 15-7. Lincoln-Way East lost 77-62 in their recent non-league challenge against Maine South (Park Ridge, IL)
Next up, the Lakers confront the Hammond Bishop Noll Warriors (Hammond, IN) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, January 16. La Lumiere will attempt to improve on its 6-5 season record. The Warriors come into the challenge with a 6-12 record after their 55-51 non-league win over Simeon (Chicago, IL).
