Virginia High School Basketball - Ridge View succumbs to Saint Gertrude

The Saint Gertrude Gators topped the visiting Ridge View Blazers basketball team by a final score of 62-51 in Monday's non-league game.

The Gators (14-3) will now prepare for their outing against St. Anne's-Belfield (Charlottesville, VA). The Saints go into the VISAA Division I outing with a 13-1 record. In their last outing, St. Anne's-Belfield defeated Trinity Episcopal (Richmond, VA), 69-21, in a league outing.

The Blazers now hold a 7-12 record. They play next when they host Richland Northeast for a AAAA Region 5 outing on Friday, January 20. Ridge View will clash with a Cavaliers squad coming off a 42-36 league win over Lugoff-Elgin (Lugoff, SC). The Cavaliers record now stands at 1-10.
