January 16, 2023: Van Meter, IA 50261 In Monday's non-league outing, the Winterset Huskies (Winterset, IA) basketball squad beat the host Van Meter Bulldogs (Van Meter, IA), by a count of 47-28.
The Huskies (8-5) will now prepare for their outing against Boone (Boone, IA). The Toreadors go into the Raccoon River outing with a 4-8 record. In their last outing, Boone defeated Denison-Schleswig (Denison, IA), 44-32, in a non-league outing.
The Bulldogs now hold a 4-8 record. They play next when they host Pleasantville for a West Central outing on Tuesday, January 17. Van Meter will clash with a Trojans squad coming off a 60-56 league win over West Central Valley (Stuart, IA). The Trojans record now stands at 5-7.
