Florida High School Basketball - Canterbury holds off Pinellas Park
January 16, 2024: St. Petersburg, FL 33703 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Canterbury Crusaders (St. Petersburg, FL) and the visiting Pinellas Park Patriots (Largo, FL), saw Canterbury's basketball squad hold off Pinellas Park by a tally of 55-52.
With the victory, Canterbury improves its record to 3-11 on the campaign. The Crusaders travel to Lakeside Christian (Clearwater, FL) to confront the Lions in a 2A District 10 challenge on Friday, January 19. The Lions come into the challenge with a record of 13-5. Lakeside Christian won 73-72 in their recent non-league challenge against Northside Christian (St. Petersburg, FL)
Next up, the Patriots confront the Tarpon Springs Spongers (Tarpon Springs, FL) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, January 18. Pinellas Park will attempt to improve on its 1-13 season record. The Spongers come into the challenge with a 4-6 record after their 78-57 league win over Dunedin (Dunedin, FL).
