In Tuesday's league match, the visiting Mackay Miners basketball team scored a good 59-49 triumph over the Taylor's Crossing Eagles.

In their next game, the Miners meet the North Gem Cowboys (Bancroft, ID) in a 1A II Rocky Mountain match, on Thursday, January 18. Mackay will attempt to move on its 5-6 season record. The Cowboys enter the match with a 9-4 record after their 48-38 league win over Sho-Ban (Fort Hall, ID).

With the defeat, Taylor's Crossing moves to 6-5 on the year. The Eagles travel to Rockland (Rockland, ID) to meet the Bulldogs in a 1A II Rocky Mountain match on Saturday, January 20.
