New York High School Basketball - Oneida nips Whitesboro
January 16, 2024: Oneida, NY 13421 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Oneida Express (Oneida, NY) and the visiting Whitesboro Warriors (Marcy, NY), saw Oneida's basketball squad hold off Whitesboro by a tally of 67-66.
With the victory, Oneida improves its record to 4-5 on the campaign. The Express host Rome Free Academy (Rome, NY) to play the Black Knights in a Section 3 Tri-Valley - Colonial challenge on Friday, January 19. The Black Knights come into the challenge with a record of 10-1. Rome Free Academy won 97-62 in their recent non-league challenge against Henninger (Syracuse, NY)
Next up, the Warriors play the Vernon-Verona-Sherrill Red Devils (Verona, NY) in a Section 3 Tri-Valley - Pioneer challenge, on Friday, January 19. Whitesboro will attempt to improve on its 0-8 season record. The Red Devils come into the challenge with a 4-8 record after their 60-36 league loss to Proctor (Utica, NY).
