New Mexico High School Basketball - Escalante tops Academy for Technology and The Classics
January 16, 2024: Santa Fe, NM 87508 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Escalante Lobos (Tierra Amarilla, NM) and the host Academy for Technology and The Classics (Santa Fe, NM), saw Escalante's basketball squad knock off Academy for Technology and The Classics by a count of 47-29.
With the victory, Escalante upgrades its record to 5-11 on the campaign. The Lobos travel to Questa (Questa, NM) to play the Wildcats in a 2A District 5 challenge on Thursday, January 25. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a record of 10-4.
Next up, the play the Texico Wolverines (Texico, NM) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 20. Academy for Technology and The Classics will attempt to upgrade on its 4-9 season record. The Wolverines come into the challenge with a 5-10 record after their 58-27 non-league loss to Portales (Portales, NM).
