Nebraska High School Basketball - Arapahoe holds off Axtell
January 16, 2024: Arapahoe, NE 68922 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Arapahoe Warriors (Arapahoe, NE) and the visiting Axtell Wildcats (Axtell, NE), saw Arapahoe's basketball squad hold off Axtell by a tally of 37-33.
With the victory, Arapahoe improves its record to 8-7 on the campaign. The Warriors travel to Southern Valley (Oxford, NE) to confront the Eagles in a D1 District 9 challenge on Thursday, January 18. The Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 13-1. Southern Valley won 46-21 in their recent non-league challenge against Holdrege (Holdrege, NE)
Next up, the Wildcats confront the Wilcox-Hildreth Falcons (Wilcox, NE) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, January 19. Axtell will attempt to improve on its 1-13 season record. The Falcons come into the challenge with a 10-4 record after their 36-19 non-league win over Ansley/Litchfield (Ansley, NE).
