Virginia High School Basketball - John Marshall nudges Freeman
January 16, 2024: Richmond, VA 23229 John Marshall Justices (Richmond, VA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Freeman Mavericks (Richmond, VA), 38-37 in a non-league bout.
With the win, John Marshall upgrades its record to 8-0 on the season. The Justices host Thomas Jefferson (Richmond, VA) to clash with the Vikings in a non-league bout on Friday, January 19. The Vikings go into the bout with a record of 2-6. Thomas Jefferson lost 50-31 in their recent non-league bout against Hermitage (Richmond, VA)
Next up, the Mavericks clash with the Collegiate Cougars (Richmond, VA) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, January 18. Freeman will attempt to upgrade on its 7-5 season record. The Cougars go into the bout with a 4-1 record after their 46-18 non-league win over The New Community School (Richmond, VA).
