January 16, 2025: Powers, MI 49874 The crowd at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Johnston Speedboys (Bessemer, MI) and the host North Central Jets (Powers, MI), observed Johnston's basketball team knock off North Central by a score of 48-30.
The Speedboys (3-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Lake Linden-Hubbell (Lake Linden, MI). The Lakes come into the non-league challenge with a 0-12 record. In their last challenge, Lake Linden-Hubbell dropped by Ontonagon (Ontonagon, MI), 59-34, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Jets encounter the Mid Peninsula Wolverines (Rock, MI) in a Skyline challenge, on Tuesday, January 21. North Central will attempt to improve on its 7-5 season record. The Wolverines come into the challenge with a 0-7 record after their 68-60 league loss to Carney-Nadeau (Carney, MI).
