In Thursday's non-league contest, the host Cousino Patriots basketball team scored a big 59-28 triumph over the Lakeview Huskies.

The Patriots (6-4) will now prepare for their contest against Anchor Bay (Fair Haven, MI). The Tars go into the Macomb Area - Blue contest with a 4-7 record. In their last contest, Anchor Bay was trounced by Utica Ford (Sterling Heights, MI), 43-35, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Huskies confront the Warren Woods-Tower Titans (Warren, MI) in a Macomb Area - Gold contest, on Friday, January 17. Lakeview will attempt to better on its 2-10 season record.
