The crowd at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Sandy Creek Cougars (Fairfield, NE) and the visiting Nebraska Christian Eagles (Central City, NE), observed Sandy Creek's basketball team overwhelm Nebraska Christian by a score of 72-41.

The Cougars (6-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Superior (Superior, NE). The Wildcats come into the C2 District 2 challenge with a 1-11 record. In their last challenge, Superior was routed by Standing Bear (Lincoln, NE), 60-13, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Eagles encounter the Riverside Chargers (Cedar Rapids, NE) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, January 20. Nebraska Christian will attempt to improve on its 4-9 season record. The Chargers come into the challenge with a 6-8 record after their 51-46 non-league loss to Arcadia/Loup City (Arcadia, NE).
