In Thursday's non-league contest, the host Middleburgh Knights basketball team scored a close 26-20 win over the Margaretville Central Blue Devils.

The Knights (1-10) will now prepare for their contest against Mekeel Christian Academy (Schenectady, NY). The Lions come into the Section 2 Freelance contest with a 0-8 record. In their last contest, Mekeel Christian Academy was tipped by Duanesburg (Delanson, NY), 40-22, in a league contest.
