Louisiana High School Soccer - Westgate toppled by New Iberia
January 16, 2025: New Iberia, LA 70560 New Iberia Yellowjackets (New Iberia, LA) backers exited the stadium pleased Thursday as they witnessed their soccer team triumph over the visiting Westgate Tigers (New Iberia, LA), 5-0 in a league test.
With the triumph, New Iberia advances its record to 3-14 on the campaign. The Yellowjackets travel to Westminster Academy (Opelousas, LA) to clash with the Crusaders in a non-league test on Monday, January 20. The Crusaders come into the test with a record of 2-6. Westminster Academy lost 6-0 in their recent non-league test against Cecilia (Cecilia, LA)
The Tigers now have a 2-14 record. They take the field next when they host Houma Christian for a non-league test on Friday, January 17. Westgate will clash with a Warriors team coming off a 4-1 league loss to Covenant Christian Academy (Houma, LA). The Warriors record now stands at 3-9.
