January 17, 2023: St. Amant, LA 70774 The St. Amant Gators (St. Amant, LA) basketball crushed the visiting Ascension Christian (Gonzales, LA), 64-41 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Gators (13-7) will now prepare for their test against Dutchtown (Geismar, LA). The Griffins go into the 5A District 5 test with a 5-8 record. In their last test, Dutchtown was trounced by Woodlawn-B.R. (Baton Rouge, LA), 63-55, in a non-league test.
The now own a 9-8 record. They play next when they host Maurepas for a non-league test on Thursday, January 19. Ascension Christian will encounter a Wolves squad coming off a 39-31 league win over Mt. Hermon (Mt. Hermon, LA). The Wolves record now stands at 4-10.
