Louisiana High School Basketball - Capitol can't hold off French Settlement
January 17, 2023: Baton Rouge, LA 70802 The French Settlement Lions basketball team scored 57 points and restricted the host Capitol Lions to 55 in the Lions non-league victory on Tuesday.
The Lions now sport a 17-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Independence for a 2A District 7 contest on Friday, January 20. French Settlement will battle a Tigers team coming off a 77-38 non-league loss to Amite (Amite, LA). The Tigers record now stands at 4-7.
The Lions (6-11) will now prepare for their contest against Liberty Magnet (Baton Rouge, LA). The Patriots come into the non-league contest with a 11-6 record. In their last contest, Liberty Magnet was nudged by Walker (Walker, LA), 65-46, in a non-league match.
