Indiana High School Basketball - South Newton can't hold off Cissna Park
January 17, 2023: Kentland, IN 47951 The Cissna Park Timberwolves basketball team scored 46 points and held the host South Newton Rebels to 40 in the Timberwolves non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Timberwolves now sport a 2-17 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Bishop McNamara for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 21. Cissna Park will battle a Fightin' Irish team coming off a 67-32 league win over Elmwood Park (Elmwood Park, IL). The Fightin' Irish record now stands at 15-5.
The Rebels (0-13) will now prepare for their contest against DeMotte Christian (DeMotte, IN). The Knights enter the Midwest contest with a 4-6 record. In their last contest, DeMotte Christian was nudged by Wheeler (Valparaiso, IN), 51-49, in a non-league contest.
