January 17, 2023: Roswell, NM 88201 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Dexter Demons (Dexter, NM) and the host Gateway Christian Warriors (Roswell, NM), saw Dexter's basketball squad hold off Gateway Christian by a tally of 36-30.
With the victory, Dexter improves its record to 6-12 on the campaign. The Demons host Elida (Elida, NM) to play the Tigers in a non-league challenge on Thursday, January 19. The Tigers come into the challenge with a record of 5-9. Elida won 58-45 in their recent non-league challenge against Capitan (Capitan, NM)
Next up, the Warriors play the Floyd Broncos (Floyd, NM) in a A District 4 challenge, on Friday, January 20. Gateway Christian will attempt to improve on its 2-11 season record. The Broncos come into the challenge with a 4-8 record after their 64-56 league loss to Elida (Elida, NM).
