West Virginia High School Basketball - Grafton knocked off by Elkins
January 17, 2023: Grafton, WV 26354 The Elkins Tigers basketball team scored 64 points and held the host Grafton Bearcats to 47 in the Tigers league triumph on Tuesday.
The Tigers now sport a 8-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host East Fairmont for a Big Ten contest on Thursday, January 19. Elkins will meet a Bees team coming off a 74-45 league win over Buckhannon-Upshur (Buckhannon, WV). The Bees record now stands at 9-1.
The Bearcats (4-8) will now prepare for their contest against Preston (Kingwood, WV). The Knights enter the Big Ten contest with a 0-11 record. In their last contest, Preston was outscored by Fairmont Senior (Fairmont, WV), 86-42, in a league contest.
