Louisiana High School Basketball - Morris Jeff Community overwhelmed by Holy Cross
January 17, 2023: New Orleans, LA 70117 The Holy Cross Tigers basketball team scored 90 points and restricted the visiting Morris Jeff Community Pelicans to 44 in the Tigers non-league victory on Tuesday.
The Tigers now sport a 14-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Brother Martin for a 5A District 9 contest on Friday, January 20. Holy Cross will battle a Crusaders team coming off a 69-55 league loss to Jesuit (New Orleans, LA). The Crusaders record now stands at 12-7.
The Pelicans (4-8) will now prepare for their contest against Haynes Academy (Metairie, LA). The come into the 3A District 9 contest with a 5-8 record. In their last contest, Haynes Academy was routed by Jefferson RISE Charter (Harvey, LA), 76-73, in a non-league contest.
