Louisiana High School Basketball - Salmen holds off Kennedy
January 17, 2023: Slidell, LA 70451 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Salmen Spartans (Slidell, LA) and the visiting Kennedy Cougars (New Orleans, LA), saw Salmen's basketball squad hold off Kennedy by a tally of 68-61.
With the victory, Salmen improves its record to 13-4 on the campaign. The Spartans travel to Lakeshore (Mandeville, LA) to confront the in a 4A District 8 challenge on Friday, January 20. The come into the challenge with a record of 16-5. Lakeshore won 72-46 in their recent non-league challenge against Live Oak (Watson, LA)
Next up, the Cougars confront the John Ehret Patriots (Marrero, LA) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, January 19. Kennedy will attempt to improve on its 6-7 season record. The Patriots come into the challenge with a 13-5 record after their 62-56 non-league loss to Lutcher (Lutcher, LA).
